The Tengchong Scientists Forum (TSF) was initiated by Academician Gu Binglin, formerpresident of Tsinghua University; Academician Xu Zhihong, former president of Peking University; and Academician Rao Zihe, former president of Nankai University. It is co-hosted by the People's Government of Yunnan Province and the China Association for Science and Technology, with support from Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Nankai University. The forum, under the theme "Science and Technology Leading the Future," is dedicated to inheriting the spirit of the National Southwestern Associated University, promoting the spirit

of science and scientists, and establishing platforms for the exchange of advanced academic ideas, interaction between government, industry, academia, and research, technology transfer,and scientific cooperation between China and South and Southeast Asian countries.
