During the 9th China-South Asia Expo(CASE)and the 29th China Kunming Import and Export CommoditiesExpo(hereinafter referred to as the South Asia Expo), held from June 19 to 24, theTSF, which has successfully been held for three consecutive years, made its debut at the South Asia Expo this year. It attracted numerous research institutions, enterprises, international friends, and media outlets to engage in exchanges, adding a strong technological atmosphere to the event.
"Over the past three years, the forum has attracted over 480 outstanding talents, facilitated the implementation of over 700 projects, and secured total investments exceeding 190 billion yuan, effectively promoting talent recruitment and project implementation, and demonstrating strong developmental vitality. Ma Minxiang, Deputy Director of the Yunnan Provincial Academy of Sciences and Deputy Director of theTSFOrganizing Committee Office, explained that through theCASE, theTSFhas been able to better promote itself, taking significant steps toward becoming an important international science and technology platformfacingSouth Asia and Southeast Asia, achieving mutual empowerment with the CASE.
Since its successful inaugural event in 2022, the TSF has attracted numerous scientists, educators, entrepreneurs, and financiers from both domestic and international backgrounds. The forum has consistently aimed to establish platforms for the exchange of advanced academic ideas, government-industry-academia-research collaboration, technology transfer, and scientific cooperation between China and South Asian and Southeast Asian nations. It has gradually evolved into a highly influential forum in the scientific field, facilitating dialogue between Chinese and global scientific communities and promoting collective progress in global science and technology.
The image exhibition area of theTSFis located in Hall 11 of the CASE, themed “Science and Technology Leading the Future,” and is divided into a forum exhibition area, a negotiation area, and an interactive experience area. In the forum exhibition area, through a variety of forms such as illustrated panels, vivid videos, and on-site explanations, the forum's development history, organizational structure, highlights from previous editions, and future plans are detailed; The negotiation zone serves as an immediate communication bridge, allowing visiting guests to interact with on-site staff to learn about forum activities and partner-related information; the interactive experience zone features AI experiences, enabling visitors to explore domestic AI large models on interactive screens and gain insights into the forum's proceedings.
Additionally, the date and theme of the 2025 TSF were announced at the exhibition, extending an invitation to all sectors of society. The 2025 TSF will be held from December 5 to December 7, with the theme of “Science and AI Changing the World,” focusing on the deep integration and innovative development of artificial intelligence and various disciplines. At that time, the forum will invite scientists, industry leaders, and representatives of innovative enterprises from home and abroad to gather in Tengchong, recreating a high-end and distinctive scientific and technological event.
The debut of the TSF's image exhibition area at the CASE not only bridges the gap between the scientific community and industry for collaboration but also offers the public an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of the forum.
