On May 18, 2025, the ‌Tengchong Scientists Forum 2025 · Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Chuxiong) Satellite Conference‌ came to a successful conclusion in Chuxiong Prefecture. Themed "Empowering the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Science and Technology, Innovating and Opening Up New Tracks for the Industry," the event was a highlight of the Tengchong Scientists Forum 2025.

In the keynote report sessions, leading academicians such as ‌Huang Luqi‌ from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, ‌Zhang Yaping‌, ‌Chen Xiaoya‌, and ‌Hao Xiaojiang‌ from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as ‌Li Shao‌ from the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, engaged in in-depth dialogues on the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, exploring new paths for its inheritance, innovation, and international development.

The conference also featured four parallel sessions: Traditional Chinese Medicine Resource Guarantee and Development Utilization, Traditional Chinese Medicine Intelligent Manufacturing and Formula Granules, Digital Medicine and Smart Healthcare, and Traditional Chinese and Yi Medicine Inheritance and Innovative Development. During the conference, Chuxiong Prefecture reached 51 cooperation projects with entities such as the Yunnan Baiyao Group and the Li Yuhua team from Northeast Forestry University, with a total investment agreement amounting to 6.02 billion yuan. It also introduced a "full chain + major projects + broad coverage" investment attraction matrix, planning 20 full industrial chain projects such as the Chuxiong Yi Medicine "Health Valley" and the integrated development of Dipterocarpus xylocarpus in Shuangbai. Chuxiong Prefecture packaged and launched 611 investment projects covering areas such as medicinal herb cultivation, health product research and development, and medical tourism, providing cooperation space for industrial modernization.

Research institutes such as Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences' Traditional Chinese Medicine Resource Center, and the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences' Institute of Medicinal Plants provided technical guidance for the development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in Chuxiong. Companies like Yunnan Baiyao, Yunnan DianBenCao Pharmaceutical, and Haobang Pharmaceutical also precisely matched relevant cooperation projects. The conference not only achieved a series of landmark cooperation projects but also injected new vitality into the vigorous development of the traditional Chinese medicine cause.
